Taking The Adventure
A Funny Story for Holy Week!
As I was packing for our move today, I ran across a great book called Taking the Adventure by Kit Hackett. It’s a small book with a quick yet entertaining read about a woman who became a missionary for YWAM (Youth With a Mission).
Kit shares some fascinating stories of her life and one of them just makes me laugh every time I read it. So I decided to share this story by reading it and adding in my own story.
I know this book has nothing to do with lost cat recovery, lost dog recovery, or the building of the Companion Animal World (CAW) pet memorial site. But she does have an eagle, a horse, and a camel on the cover so I could argue that it is “pet related.” I plan to get back to sharing pet recovery stories soon, but during this Holy Week I thought it was appropriate to share a story about Jesus.
If Jesus stuff is not your cup of tea, hang on as I will soon be back with more pet memorial stuff and more amazing lost pet recovery stories that will entertain and educate. Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter! Here’s me reading my favorite story from Kit’s book:
