I can't claim to have thought of it as I saw some online last month. I am excited about this idea because I think it will give so many families a chance to know that these tags were not just discarded and that they can STILL mean something valuable. Thanks for commenting! Sometimes it feels like I am alone out here when there is no intereaction in my Substack.
Kat, I make beaded suncatchers, key chains, rear view mirror dangles as memorials for deceased pets. I do use a ring that the owner can attach their pets ID tag on. I made one for Rita May and had a duplicate ID made for to use on that. It hangs in my bedroom window and some mornings the sun helps bright dots dance on my walls. Always makes me smile. I can share some pictures with you. Even at vendor sales, these sell well.
Oh Mike, that is so great to hear! What is your address so that I can ship a box of them to you since you "like painting them?" See how easy it is to recruit volunteers? :)
Excellent idea and memoriam.

Kat, I agree with all of what you said.
Let’s tag-team our fellow writers and readers here and advocate for increased engagement. Deal?
🙏
Sorry I just saw this! I am game, but I am not sure how to tag-team others... can you teach me what to do?
Kat, here’s my idea.
You can repost a variation of your original and tag me in it. I’ll restack it.
Any time we post, let’s tag each other and refer back to that initiative.
To tag someone, hit tthe ampersand/@, type in the name and soon as it populates, select it. Example: @Kat Albrecht
Sound good?
🙏
OK, I will give it a try. I just made a post and I will go and tag you. I take it that I tag you in the comments, not in the post, correct?
Kat, you can do it in either or both. Your call.
